Harnessing the Healing Energy of Reiki

Reiki (pronounced “ray key”) is a life force energy that promotes healing by restoring balance and harmony to your mind, body, and spirit. Discovered a century ago by Mikao Usui, it has spread from Japan to all parts of the world.

When illness, trauma, or stress saps your energy, a Reiki treatment creates a sense of relaxation and well-being—allowing your body to heal itself. Reiki can also facilitate mental healing, reduce resistance to change, dissolve blockages, and reinforce new behaviors.  

What is a Reiki Treatment Like?

A Reiki treatment feels like a glowing radiance flowing through and around you. Reiki energy moves from the practitioner’s hands to you, helping restore you physically, spiritually, and emotionally.

Reiki is natural and safe. It works well with other medical or therapeutic techniques. There are no contraindications to its use, because it simply clears and enhances energy according to the needs of your body.

Combining Reiki and Hypnotherapy

As a Reiki Master, I have integrated Reiki into my hypnotherapy practice with excellent results.

Some clients experience reduction in physical discomfort. Others notice that their anxiety has lessened, allowing them to enter into deep states of relaxation. Still others are able to release anger, shame, guilt, or regrets.

Reiki can also speed recovery from medical procedures. I used Reiki, hypnotherapy, and guided visualizations before and after my own surgery in 2006. Both my doctor and physical therapist were amazed at my rapid recovery.

Reiki is easy to learn and simple to use on yourself and others. Because of its many benefits, I offer First and Second Degree Reiki classes. Please click here to view a class schedule.  

First Degree Reiki Class
In this one-day class, you will receive attunements that enhance your ability to channel healing energy through your hands. You will learn the history of Reiki, how to treat yourself and others, and practice giving and receiving Reiki treatments. You will receive a Reiki manual and a certificate.

Second Degree Reiki Class
In this day-and-a-half class, you will learn the three sacred Reiki symbols that enhance its healing ability. You will learn how to:

• Work from long distance
• Facilitate mental clearing and healing
• Free energetic blocks and drain excess energy
• Enhance the nutritional value of your food
• Treat plants and animals
• Clear space energetically

 

You will also practice giving and receiving Reiki treatments. You will receive a Reiki manual and a certificate.
